Wynn Resorts to Buy Crown London Casino
Wynn Resorts has entered into an agreement to purchase Crown London (Aspinalls), an exclusive, members-only casino nestled in London's affluent Mayfair neighborhood.
LISTEN TO THIS ARTICLE:Situated within two historic Georgian townhouses at 27-28 Curzon Street, Crown London features 20 gaming tables in upscale salons, as well as a cozy restaurant and lounge area ideal for socializing.
Crown London is currently owned and operated by Crown Resorts, an Australian gaming operator, acquired by Blackstone in February 2022 in a deal valued at $6.3 billion. As part of the acquisition, Blackstone purchased 100% of Crown Resorts' shares at $9.30 per share, with speculation suggesting that the price may have been lowered due to allegations of mismanagement surrounding the operator at the time.
Crown London will continue to operate under its current name until the acquisition is finalized, which is expected to occur in the second half of 2025, pending regulatory approval.

Wynn Resorts Strengthens Global Presence
With the acquisition, Wynn Resorts has further bolstered its portfolio of luxury gaming destinations, including Wynn and Encore Las Vegas, Encore Boston Harbor, Wynn Macau, and Wynn Palace. The group is also developing a luxury integrated resort in the United Arab Emirates.
The resort, which is scheduled for completion in 2027, will feature 1,542 rooms, 22 restaurants, bars, and lounges, as well as a theater, nightclub, and beach club overlooking the Arabian Gulf.
This acquisition of an iconic asset offers us a presence in a global gateway city and will create a conduit for Wynn guests to visit our resorts, particularly Wynn Al Marjan Island, which is slated to open in the first quarter of 2027 in Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates.
