Win about $65 Million in Monday Powerball Drawing
The new Powerball drawing will take place today, Monday, October 18, 2021, with an estimated jackpot of $65 million and a cash option of $45 million. Last Saturday, there was a Powerball drawing that had an estimated jackpot of $60 million and a cash value of $41.8. The Saturday drawing did not record any grand prize winner since nobody got the winning lottery numbers drawn on that day, which was 30, 31, 41, 42, 48, with a red Powerball of 3. The Power Play was 3X.
Apart from no one winning the grand prize for the jackpot, nobody also won the other secondary prizes that run into millions of dollars. If a player had been lucky enough to match five numbers in the Saturday night drawing, he or she would have won a $1 million prize. Hitting Match 5 with the 3X power Play would have given the lucky player $2 million.
The first Powerball drawing was held on April 22, 1922, with about 15 participating states. However, the lottery is currently played across the 45 states in the United States of America, including Washington D.C., Nevada, Chicago’s and the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.
Powerball winners can either receive their winnings as a one-time full payment or an annuity. Players who opt for the annuity accept one payment upfront and subsequent payments that increase by 5% every year for 29 years.
