Wazdan Slots Head to Greece with New License
The popular online slot developer Wazdan has announced that it has received a Manufacturer A1 Suitability license from the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC). The company can now boast of being certified in sixteen jurisdictions.
Thanks to the license, players in the Greek market can now enjoy all of Wazdan’s titles. They include the hugely successful hold the Jackpot series, as well as the Power of Gods series, which includes Power of Gods: the Pantheon, and the two popular slots 9 Lions and Larry the Leprechaun.
Greece introduced new regulations at the beginning of August, and many suppliers have been rushing to receive certification to offer their games in the market. The licensing process was opened by the HGC in October 2020 after the country’s parliament passed a new gambling reform bill in 2019.
The new gambling regulations were part of a wider package called Invest in Greece. It included a regulation that is intended to make environmental and planning regulations smoother.
The license from the HGC comes soon after Wazdan received certification from New Jersey and Belarus, as it seeks to increase its global presence. Furthermore, the company is currently gearing up to release its next major title, Power of Gods: Hades, on September 8.
We are delighted to receive our Greek license as we continue to focus on our expansion in regulated markets. We’re very proud to receive our 16th independent market certification, and we are very eager to see how our games are received in this exciting market.
