Vietnam's Hoiana Integrated Resort Rebounds as Visitation Explodes

Vietnam Gaming Rebounds
In 2020, Hoiana received just 5,000 visitors, but escalated to 51,000 last year. The progress continues to improve, as the first half of 2023 witnessed an even more remarkable surge, reaching 69,000 visitors.

Wolstenholme projected a robust revival for the resort by 2023, emphasizing strategic investments in multiple key markets to boost income generation.
Wolstenholme explains that certain markets remain inaccessible, which necessitates adjustments to the existing system. To address this, the Hoiana IR strategically leverages its golf course to entice visitors from South Korea, Japan, Taiwan and numerous other destinations.
Hoiana Beach, the latest addition to the resort, is a top-notch establishment with 330 luxury rooms. This outstanding property solidifies the resort's position as a first-rate spot to visit. Viewing the situation from Wolstenholme's perspective, Vietnam has effectively showcased its capacity to cater to travelers who pose minimal risk. This accomplishment is the result of meticulous planning and robust backing.

Vietnam's inaugural comprehensive resort, Hoiana, endured the blow of COVID only three weeks after it initially opened its doors in 2020. However, this year, in July, Hoiana Resort witnessed a change in ownership as the eminent Cheng family from Hong Kong, renowned for its ownership of the Chow Tai Fook establishment, assumed control of the resort.
Hoiana Resort was previously under the proprietorship of Macau's prominent gaming junket operator, Alvin Chau. He's now in a Macau prison for money laundering and other crimes.
