Unibet Signs World Champion Women Boxers as Brand Ambassadors
In a deal touted as the ‘largest ambassador deal with active female boxers in the UK’, Kindred has added three world champion women boxers to its list of brand ambassadors.
Raven Chapman, Ellie Scotney, and Nina Hughes have been appointed by Kindred to promote its Unibet brand through social media engagement and participation in the company’s marketing campaigns. The trio will actively contribute to improving the overall image of Unibet, particularly in the world of women's boxing.
Chapman, under the management of Frank Warren's Queensbury Promotions, currently holds the title of WBC International Champion. Scotney, a member of Shane McGuigan's stable of fighters, secured the IBF World Super-Bantamweight Championship by defeating Cherneka Johnson. Additionally, Hughes has been the WBA Bantamweight world titleholder since July 2022.
Unibet has made a clear commitment to women’s boxing, and it’s exciting to be part of it. In speaking to them, it was clear that their ambitions for the sport match mine, and their support will be invaluable to me as my career develops.
Sustainable Sponsorship Model
According to Kindred, its sponsorship model prioritizes responsible and sustainable contributions to sporting organizations and their communities. The company has actively invested in local communities and clubs, backing initiatives like #TeamTalk, a mental health project endorsed by Wayne Rooney and Steven Gerrard, which provides a ‘safe space’ for men to discuss.
Interest in women’s boxing is booming, and we felt it was imperative for Kindred to double down on our commitment to the sport – and these three fantastic fighters in particular. We couldn’t think of three better brand ambassadors for Kindred, as they encapsulate everything that is great about boxing. We can’t wait for what the next year will bring for them all, and we hope that Kindred’s support helps drive them to even bigger and better achievements.
Operators Partner with Sports Stars
Kindred’s partnership with the three high-flying women boxers signified the importance of sports stars to the visibility and credibility of betting brands. It follows the trend of other operators that have signed similar deals with sports personalities since the year begun.
These include NetBet’s deal with Ray Parlour, William Hill’s partnership with four horseracing ambassadors, and DraftKings and Lebron James.
