The United Kingdom Gambling Commission (UKGC), the gaming regulator for the region, has announced that it is to set up a gambling Industry Forum.
The UKGC has stated that the membership of the Forum will be made up of the gaming industry stakeholders, and the regulator says it believes the forum will give legislative organizations insight into gaming operators' opinions.

The Forum will exist alongside other regulatory bodies and industry gambling initiatives, such as the Lived Experience Advisory Panel, the Advisory Board for Safer Gambling, and the Digital Advisory Panel. It is hoped that partnerships with industry regulators will help members offer their perspectives on proposed changes to gambling regulations.
Additionally, the platform will allow members to share information in key gambling sectors, includ-ing account management, consultations, and the Commission's data program.
We’ve always listened to the views of the industry when deciding how best to make pro-gress, but this new forum will give us another way to work with representatives from the industry we regulate.
The Gambling Commission plans to publish statements and advice from the Industry Forum.
Forum Members to be Appointed
The Commission will recruit a Chair for the new Forum and is to start the search to fill the role im-minently. The successful candidate will be appointed Chair of the Forum for three years.
There will be around ten members of the Industry Forum, and the UKGC has stated the members of the forum will be drawn from industry experts across a wide range of gaming sectors.
The UKGC plans to open applications for candidates to become members of the Forum. The regu-lator is looking for members who have a good knowledge of the challenges and opportunities that face stakeholders in the gambling industry.
