Tonybet Receives License to Operate in the Netherlands
Tonybet has secured an internet gambling license in the Netherlands online gaming market.
The Dutch Gaming Authority, Kansspelautoriteit, approved the betting operator after meeting its stipulated requirements. As a result, Tonybet becomes the 24th license holder in the Dutch gambling market.
The online casino license allows TonyBet to operate legally in the Dutch digital ecosystem for five years, from November 15, 2022, to November 14, 2027. It would be able to offer games of chance like roulette, blackjack, and baccarat and accept bets from players in the Netherlands.
According to Kansspelautoriteit, Tonybet has not yet stated the domain name it will use in the state; when the information is available, the regulator will update the country’s online gambling guide, Kansspelwijzer.
Tonybet’s certification in the Netherlands signifies the company’s drive to expand in the European gaming industry. The firm is licensed in Spain, Estonia, Malta, and the United Kingdom. It also holds a Canadian gaming license.
In September 2022, Tonybet partnered with iSoftBet to offer its games across Europe’s core regulated markets. In the same month, it launched its services in Latvia.
Since the Netherlands’ iGaming market went live in 2021, it has witnessed an influx of online gambling entities, like Unibet, Stakelogic, and Swintt. One Casino was awarded the 23rd iGaming license in the country.
