Tonje Sagstuen Assumes Permanent CEO Role at Norsk Tipping
LISTEN TO THIS ARTICLE:Norwegian gambling monopoly Norsk Tipping has confirmed Tonje Sagstuen, as its permanent CEO following her interim tenure in the role since September.
Sagstuen assumed the role of acting CEO on September 1 after Thor Gjermund Eriksen departed from the position he held for less than a year.
Sagstuen joined Norsk Tipping in 2014 as Deputy CEO and served in the position for 5 years. She was most recently the Director of the Department of Accountability, Society, and Communication before she became the Acting CEO.
In addition to her tenure at the company, Sagstuen serves as an Assistant Professor and holds a Master’s Degree in Multimedia Management from BI Norwegian Business School. Before joining Norsk Tipping, she held the position of Editor-In-Chief at Oppland Arbeiderblad, a newspaper located in Gjøvik, Norway.
Prior Success and Board Support
Before venturing into her corporate career, Sagstuen had an illustrious athletic career, representing Norway in more than 200 matches, including the 1992 Barcelona Olympics as a member of the national handball team.
