Tipster Limited Faces Suspension of Authorisations by MGA
LISTEN TO THIS ARTICLE:The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has announced the suspension of authorisations awarded to Tipster Limited, an online gaming operator.
This decision, effective from June 27, 2023, comes under the provision of reg. 8 (1) (f) of the Gaming Compliance and Enforcement Regulations (S.L. 583.06).
With the suspension of Tipster Limited's licenses, the company is no longer permitted to conduct any gaming operations. However, it is required to maintain access to all registered players' accounts and refund all sources in accordance with the applicable law. MGA expects the company to adhere to all legal obligations during this process.
The reason behind this sanction lies in the winding-up process of the company. The suspension is being imposed based on reg. 9 (1) (f) of the Regulations. Nevertheless, Tipster Limited has the right to appeal this decision within the framework of Article 43 of the Gaming Act (Chapter 583 of the Laws of Malta).
