Svenska Spel Prioritizes Transparency with Latest Initiative
Sweden's national gambling operator Svenska Spel, will begin reporting revenue generated from customers with lower gambling risks.

LISTEN TO THIS ARTICLE:In an official announcement, the operator said it will publish its first report on low-risk gambling revenue at the end of August, covering the second quarter. Moving forward, the data will be incorporated into the operator's regular interim reports.
Svenska Spel acknowledged that most of its players gamble responsibly and generate the bulk of its revenue. However, the company also admits that some of its income comes from customers struggling with gambling-related issues.
The company will utilize risk models in its Playscan analysis tool, built in partnership with Sustainable Interaction, to categorize its customers based on their gambling behavior.
With this new development, Svenska Spel aims to increase transparency and trust in the Swedish gambling sector.

Svenska Publicly Reports Responsible Gambling Efforts
Svenska Spel has continued to demonstrate its commitment to transparency in Sweden. In 2022, the company joined Kindred Group and ATG in publicly revealing their responsible gambling initiatives. This ongoing effort involves bi-annual data submissions to Spelinspektionen, the Swedish regulator.
The latest update was released in February this year. It covered the six months from July to December 2023. It is also the third report released since the initiative began with the second half of 2022 and continued with the first half of 2023.
