Spotlight Sports Group Names Mark Renshaw as New CEO

The Spotlight Sports Group (SSG) has appointed Mark Renshaw as the new CEO with the company looking for future expansion.

Renshaw will replace Alan Byrne the current CEO who is stepping down from the role but will remain with the company as a director on the board in an advisory capacity.

It is an internal step up for Renshaw who before the move held the position of Chief Operations Officer (COO), and has been at SSG for 14 years.

The pair have been collaborating with senior leadership at SSG to formulate a plan for growth in the UK and especially the markets in North America.

The main betting brands at SSG are the Racing Post in the UK market and Pickwise is its premium brand in North America. The group believes there is huge potential for its 2 main brands and also B2B opportunity for growth by supplying content and publishing services.

We’re absolutely clear on where we want to take Spotlight Sports Group and I am tremendously excited about the path we’re on to grow our people and our business.. […] We have the greatest team we’ve ever had – working on huge betting brands, such as Racing Post in the UK and Pickswise in North America. I’m equally excited about our global B2B division, which allows our sportsbook, publishing and fantasy sports partners to leverage our products, content and conversion-led expertise to drive sustainable and attributable revenue growth.
