Sportradar Names Eric Conrad as MD SCP for North America
Leading sports data company Sportradar has announced the appointment of Eric Conrad as its Managing Director, Strategic Partnerships & Content for North America.
Before his new role, Conrad was the Executive Vice President, Sports Programming and Acquisitions of Univision. Using his office, he expanded Univision’s sports rights portfolio and signed partnerships with several organizations, including UEFA, FIFA, Concacaf, and MLS.
Conrad also had experience working within the ESPN Programming and Acquisitions team. He has also held media rights and sponsorship sales positions with the MLB and the NBA. Conrad would be the first managing director of US Sports Content and Partnerships as it’s a newly created role. The SCP has been an integral and effective unit of Sportradar with several significant sports league partnerships in its portfolio, including with the NBA, MLB, and NHA.
Conrad will continue the work done by the US SCP team and report directly to Eduard Blonk, the Chief Commercial Officer of Sportradar. He will work alongside Sportradar media partners to maximize commercial revenue and embark on new and long-term deals for business growth and expansion.
Eric joins Sportradar at a time of rapid growth for the North American market. Eric has the leadership track record and experience we believe are critical to lead the regional SCP team, including the ability to forge additional partnerships, a strong focus on value creation with the sports fan in the centre, and a focus on delivering value to our customers.
The new development comes weeks after Sportradar launched its Virtual Cricket in-play game and completed the acquisition of VAIX Limited, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions firm.
