Shape Games About to Enter US Market
The Colorado Limited Gaming Control Commission has granted Shape Games its first US state online gambling license, according to an announcement from company CEO Christian Risom.
The license means that Shape Games is now able to provide operators licensed in Colorado with its front-end gaming technology. It has already signed agreements with a number of licensed operators in the US, including Bally’s.
We’re very pleased to receive this approval as the first of multiple licenses we are pursuing in order to be a leader in gaming services to the US market. Colorado is one step in our plan to provide the leading consumer engagement platform for the gaming industry as it grows in the American market. Our clients say that our platform is the most modern, engaging, and consumer-focused engine in the industry. That stems from our origin as a consumer app developer working with companies like Apple, Red Bull, and Ikea.
Shape, which is based in Copenhagen, produces digital products that are designed to engage and entertain while driving app-based commerce. The company has developed applications for several European iGaming companies, including the Danish state operator Danske Spil.
Shape’s Chief Commercial Officer Morten Tonnesen said that the company seeks to bring “consumer app best practices to iGaming” for the benefit of all. The apps are designed with user experience at their heart which, according to Tonnesen, makes them “competitive with the popular entertainment apps that are vying for time-starved consumers.”
Shape is well known for its award-winning customized user interfaces that have proven to simplify and streamline customers’ time and decisions. Shape, together with Danske Spil, was named Best Native App at the EGR awards for three consecutive years from 2018 to 2020 and Best Omnichannel Solution in 2020. Shape Games received their license from the Colorado Limited Gaming Control Commission shortly after securing a deal with VAIX, a company that will help with integrating their products in Europe and US gambling markets.
