Robert Soper Joins Esports Entertainment Group Board of Directors
LISTEN TO THIS ARTICLE:Esports Entertainment Group (EEG), a leading B2B eSports content and solutions provider, has announced that Robert Soper has been appointed to its Board of Directors.
Soper brings with him extensive experience within the gaming and hospitality industries and is set to be a true asset to the EEG. In the past, Soper has worked as president and CEO of Mohegan Sun Pocono in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, and president and CEO of Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut. He was involved in the launch of Pennsylvania’s first casino and was in charge of the company’s move into iGaming.
Soper was also the CEO and president of Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority (MTGA), Mohegan’s parent company. In this role, he oversaw the development of the business and led its day-to-day operations. During his period in time, the company secured a license for an integrated resort in Korea, beating off competition from more than 30 companies.
In short, he brings more than two decades of experience in the gaming and hospitality industry to the EEG Board. He has also worked in the advisory industry and founded Sun Gaming & Hospitality, a company that provides its services to regulators, banks, developers, investors, and resort operators.
