Playtech Announces Chris McGinnis Moves Up to the Role of CFO
Playtech, the leading gaming software provider, has announced that Chris McGinnis is to take over as the Company's Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at the end of this month.
Andrew Smith, the current CFO, is stepping down for personal reasons on the 28th of November, while McGinnis is moving up from his current role as Deputy Chief Financial Officer at Playtech.
McGinnis has been with Playtech since 2017, where he is the Deputy CFO and also Director of Investor Relations.
Before joining Playtech, McGinnis had a period working for software company Temenos as Head of Corporate Strategy. He has also held senior roles with spells working for Deloitte and UBS, both in Canada and Merrill Lynch in the UK.
I am delighted that Chris will be joining the Board as CFO. In addition to his deep knowledge of Playtech and the sector, he brings a strong set of financial and strategic skills that will be invaluable as the Company looks to deliver further growth. I am very much looking forward to continuing working with him as we execute against our strategy in the coming years.
Senior management at Playtech thanked Smith for his service to the Company and, in particular, in his position as CFO, which he took up in 2017, as well as the role he played in helping the Company through the difficult period of the pandemic.
