Park Lane Club London Changes Ownership
The Park Lane Club London, one of the city’s most upmarket casinos, has been purchased by a wholly-owned subsidiary of Metropolitan Gaming Limited.
The acquisition was completed through an asset sale that was run by the administrators of Silverbond Enterprises Limited. Metropolitan Gaming’s legal counsels were Memery Crystal LLP and Stevens & Bolton LLP, while the counsel to the administrators of Silverbond Enterprises were Clarion Solicitors.
We are thrilled to be adding the iconic Park Lane Club to our portfolio of casinos in the UK. It is an excellent addition to our portfolio of premier casinos, and we have exciting plans to invest in and develop the business moving forward. We look forward to welcoming the Park Lane Club team to Metropolitan Gaming and creating safe and memorable experiences for our guests in the new location.
The Park Lane Club, located in London’s exclusive Mayfair, opened in 2014. It occupies two floors of the Hilton Hotel and offers visitors a gaming floor, private gaming room, outdoor gaming terrace, lounge, and bar.
The Administrator, Bob Maxwell, who is Office Partner in Charge at Begbies Traynor, Leeds, said that the acquisition was “interesting and challenging”. He explained that there was a great deal of interest in the casino from businesses around the world, adding, “We are delighted that the business has been purchased by Metropolitan Gaming, who is ideally placed to develop the casino at Park Lane.”
Metropolitan Gaming said that for now, Park Lane Club is open for business as usual. However, it will soon undergo a refurbishment and be rebranded as Metropolitan Park Lane.
