One Casino Receives Netherlands’ 23rd iGaming license
One Casino has been awarded an iGaming license by the Netherlands gaming regulator Kansspelautoriteit (KSA).
With the approval, One Casino can now legally offer games of chance for real money to players in the Netherlands.
One Casino becomes the 23rd online gambling operator to receive a license from the Dutch regulator after the country launched its regulated iGaming market in October 2021.
Last month, the KSA issued its 20th, 21stand 22nd licensees to Tulipa Entertainment, Smart Gaming BV, and Holland Gaming Technology, respectively.
One Casino‘s approval comes days after the Dutch regulator published a report of its iGaming market’s performance in the last 12 months.
According to the KSA Chair René Jansen, the country is moving towards the desired goal, which is to create a “completely safe environment” for online gamblers and restrict illegal operators from having access to its citizens.
I very much welcome the diverse perspectives from which the results are looked at. It helps to have the right and penetrating conversation and to walk the right paths that ultimately lead to an – ideally – completely safe online gambling environment, which intervenes in time if people lose control.
Issuing licenses to companies like One Casino is one of the ways the regulator has mapped out for Netherlands residents to have a regulated and controlled online gambling experience.
However, the KSA has not updated the Netherlands’ online gambling ledger because One Casino has not stated the domain name it would in the jurisdiction. When it does, the regulator will add the website to its list of recognized and licensed online gambling providers in the Netherlands.
