NorthStar Gaming CFO Jennifer Barber Announces Departure
Ontario-based casino and sports betting firm NorthStar Gaming has confirmed that its current Chief Financial Officer, Jennifer Barber, will be stepping down from her position.
Having been the CFO of NorthStar Gaming since June 2022, Barber is set to leave the company on December 1 to explore new endeavors. According to the company, during her tenure, Barber played a crucial role in its public listing, acquisition of Slapshot Media, and the establishment of its financial reporting functions.

The present Vice President of Finance and Compliance of the firm, Chin Dhushenthen, will serve as the interim CFO until the company finds a new replacement.
Before joining NorthStar in 2021, Dhushenthen worked at Capreit, a publicly traded Canadian provider of quality rental housing, for 13 years. He also has experience working at Hydrogenics, Vincor International, Azerty United Canada, the Hunter Consulting Group, Holiday Autos, and Scodie Deyong.
We anticipate a seamless transition to Chin as interim CFO. He has great familiarity with our operations, having previously led our finance team and establishing our compliance system that meets the strict standards of our igaming license.
NorthStar to Expand Across Canada
Barber's departure coincides with NorthStar's strategic move to expand its online presence in Canada. The company is actively working on launching its online casino and sportsbook across various regions in the country.
The operator debuted its betting platform in Ontario in May 2022 and will now be going live in every Canadian province and territory. The operator's expansion drive is being supported by Slapshot Media, the Canadian iGaming marketing and managed services firm it purchased earlier this year.
