RAW iGaming Appoints New CTO and COO

RAW iGaming, a new developer of online casino games, has announced that industry heavyweights Ricardo Ruiz and Henrik Fagerlund have joined the studio.

The developer was founded in March 2021 and has quickly attracted attention with its innovative SuperSlice mechanic. With its first two titles due to be released in the coming weeks, the studio has now turned its attention to boosting its senior management team.

Ruiz has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer and has been charged with developing and improving the architectural and technical foundation of the business. He has joined RAW from Videoslots, where he was CTO and responsible for the operator’s technical growth and expansion to regulated markets around the world.

Fagerlund is the developer’s Chief Operating Officer and will be in charge of ensuring that the company provides a reliable service. In the past, he has held senior roles at GTECH and Paf, and most recently, he was Managing Director of Malta for NetEnt and Director of Product Innovation for Evolution.

Speaking about his appointment, Fagerlund explained that he feels innovation has been missing from the iGaming industry in recent times but that RAW’s SuperSlice mechanic addresses this problem directly. He added, “That hit the target for me, and it’s an absolute honor to join RAW. Here I can bring all my experience, passion, and energy to the table and help make a difference.”

The CEO of RAW, Tom Wood, commented, “I feel so honored they [Ruiz and Fagerlund] have chosen RAW, and both together will ensure stability during RAW’s quick expansion.”
