The previous record was $197.2 million in March, and it was close to being broken in July. Over the past seven months, New Jersey online casinos have brought in $190 million or more four times.

Strong Numbers from the Garden State

Should New Jersey crack $200 million—and it appears that’s likely to happen soon—it would be the third state to do so, as Pennsylvania and Michigan have already done so. Here are the revenue numbers New Jersey has posted each month in 2024:

● January: $183.3 million

● February: $182.3 million

● March: $197.2 million

● April: $187.9 million

● May: $192.1 million

● June: $186.8 million

● July: $195.4 million

● August: $198.4 million

The state saw a 1.5% bump from July to August, but even more notable was the 27.8% bump from August 2023 to August 2024.

DraftKings Reigns Supreme

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement began reporting individual casino operator revenue figures in January, and DraftKings has always been the top operator.

For August 2024, they came in first with $43,331,374, beating out FanDuel’s $41,331,301. In all, five online casinos had $10 million in revenue or more, with Hard Rock Bet finishing about $62,000 shy.

Three online casinos finished with less than $1 million, including Wheel of Fortune, Betway, and Jackpot City.

Fanatics online casino drew in $2.6 million, which is quite the increase month-over-month since launching in May with less than $1 million. There were 28 online casino operators to report revenue figures in August.
