Musk and Zuckerberg to Live Stream Clash for Charity
Elon Musk has announced that his potential cage fight with Mark Zuckerberg will be streamed on X, formerly known as Twitter, if it goes ahead.
In June, the two billionaires appeared to agree to fight, but it is not yet clear if it will go ahead. Zuckerberg is known for his love of martial arts and fitness while Musk seems to relish the idea of a challenge.
Over the weekend, Musk published a post saying that the fight will be live-streamed on X and that “all proceeds will go to charity for veterans”. Not to be outdone, Zuckerberg responded on his Threads account, “Shouldn't we use a more reliable platform that can actually raise money for charity?”
Musk Too Busy to Train
Earlier on Sunday (6 August 2023), Musk said that he was too busy to work out so he simply brought weights to work.
Zuckerberg immediately responded:
I'm ready today. I suggested Aug 26 when he first challenged, but he hasn't confirmed. Not holding my breath. I love this sport and will continue competing with people who train no matter what happens here.
Fight May Happen in Vegas
There is speculation that the fight may take place in Las Vegas, and it is bound to attract some serious betting action. However, there are also reports that the Colosseum in Rome is being considered as a venue.
Regardless of whether the fight takes place, the good-natured banter between the two has attracted a great deal of attention. For now, bettors may be better off wagering on whether the fight will take place rather than who will win.
