Moobifun to Digitize Grupo Pefaco in Africa
Moobifun, the French iGaming supplier, has announced a deal with Grupo Pefaco, the Barcelona-based casino operator, to digitalize the operator’s casino operations in Africa.
Grupo Pefaco has a large presence in West Africa, and Moobifun is being charged with building on this and using its technology and understanding of digital operations to take the operator’s casino online. Initially, the partnership will focus on the six African countries where Grupo Pefaco already has casinos, including Benin, Burkina Faso, and Ivory Coast.
Moobifun will also be incorporating its own digital products, including lottery, scratch cards, and numbers games, which will also boost its presence in the region.
Grupo Pefaco has built a very successful business within the bricks-and-mortar casino space, and we’re thrilled to help them digitize the African operation. Our localized expertise will ensure that users will have a seamless and enjoyable online experience.
The deal will also see Group Pefaco make use of Moobifun’s Mobile Money system. It will be made available in Burkina Faso, Benin, Togo, Niger, the Ivory Coast, and Burundi.
The African iGaming market has been receiving a great deal of attention in recent months. Betfred recently bought a controlling stake in the South African company LottoStar while NentEnt and Red Tiger made a deal to supply Supabets with their games. Playson has also been making inroads in the continent, while there have also been a number of prominent iGaming events held in various African countries.
