Microgaming Celebrates Entry to New Regulated Dutch Market

Microgaming, a true leader of the gambling industry, became one of the first suppliers to enter the newly regulated Dutch market when it launched on 1 October, giving licensed operators the ability to offer players a vast portfolio of games from the moment the market opened.

A number of Microgaming customers, such as Nederlandse Loterij, the state-owned gambling operator, and its casino brand TOTO, received Dutch remote gambling licenses ahead of the market launch, and they are now live with Microgaming content in Holland.

Dutch players already have access to more than 200 top Microgaming titles through the provider’s aggregation platform. The games include new slots together with those that have remained player favorites for years, as well as a number of progressing jackpot titles.

The aggregation platform brings together more than 60 games from many other leading developers such as Inspired Gaming, Spearhead Studios, Oryx, and Stakelogic. Furthermore, games from Spinstars are set to be added in the near future.

Earlier this year, Microgaming began helping its operators with the license application process, and it has since been providing them with comprehensive documentation and information to help them prepare themselves for the new regulations.

The move represents another significant step in Microgaming’s ongoing expansion into key regulated markets. The Netherlands offers a wealth of opportunity for Microgaming and our customers, and we look forward to supporting their growth in the country for years to come. With responsible gambling at the heart of all we do, we welcome the new legislation’s comprehensive and forward-thinking approach to player protection.
