MGM Resorts to Gain Players Branding Rights in a Deal with MLB Players
MGM Resorts International has signed a deal with the MLB Players, the association that represents the business interests of the baseball players in the major league, and the entertainment company will gain access to the players branding rights.
The agreement is a multi-year deal and makes MGM Resorts an official partner of the MLB players giving MGM the right to use group marketing rights and player branding. MGM Resorts will also provide hospitality locations for events relating to MLB players.
This new partnership strengthens our commitment to the sport of baseball in the U.S. and around the globe. We welcome the opportunity to host MLB Players at our world-class resorts and create unique player experiences for our valued MGM Rewards members.
As part of the agreement, MGM Resorts can use the group rights of the players regarding print and digital promotions and advertisements. MGM Resorts will have a high-profile presence at the hospitality with MLB Players at the annual All-Star game.
There is also scope in the deal for MGM Resorts to allow players to become individual brand ambassadors participating in personal appearances and advertisements.
This agreement puts Major League Baseball Players in partnership with a company that is synonymous with best-in-class hotels and entertainment. MGM Resorts’ global presence will also help strengthen the allegiance between baseball’s international fan base and our Players.
