MGA Games Gets Approval to Continue Sweden Operations
Spanish casino software company MGA Games has been awarded a five-year gaming license by the Swedish gambling regulator Spelinspektionen.
The development comes in the wake of Sweden’s new gambling regulations that required gaming providers to get accredited before July 1, 2023, if they want to launch or continue their operations in the jurisdiction.
Once the ruling goes into effect, operators cannot feature games from suppliers who provide, install or alter gaming software for illegal offerings or who aren’t registered with the Swedish regulator.
As a result, several providers have applied for and received licenses since the state opened the application process in March, including Wazdan, Stakelogic, and Relax Gaming.
By getting licensed, MGA Games can continue to offer its over 100 premium titles in the Swedish online gaming market, including hits like Jade Goddess, Captain Nemo, Circus Mystery, and Ice Queen.
MGA specializes in developing localized gaming content productions for operators in different markets. The company’s portfolio features a variety of slot, bingo, and table games.
The new license reinforces MGA Games’ commitment to the European market. The company operates in Europe and Latin America and seeks to expand into new jurisdictions.
This year, MGA has signed several content deals with various operators, including NG Gaming, Moosh, SkillOnNet, and Dazn Bet.
