Scuderia Ferrari and the Marina Bay Sands resort in Singapore have established a new alliance, signifying a two-year collaboration between the renowned vehicle brand and the Las Vegas Sands-owned property. Ferrari Races into Marina Bay Sands

During the Singapore Grand Prix week, a multi-year partnership of Marina Bay Sands with Formula One gets underway. When guests arrive at the resort, they will witness its three towers lit up in red, the primary color of Formula 1 branding. Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, drivers for Ferrari, will be on hand to host a variety of activities.

The collaboration between Scuderia Ferrari and Marina Bay Sands opens up a world of possibilities for a lineup of activities that offer a new Formula 1 experience right at the doorstep of the resort's guests. This innovative alliance guarantees an impactful and unforgettable encounter, with the highly awaited Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix promising an electrifying spectacle.

Paul Gandolfi, the director of social development at Scuderia Ferrari, approves of and endorses the alliance. He said in a press release that he welcomes the coming together of the two prestigious brands that share a mutual goal to provide an unmatched experience. Gandolfi added that this collaboration plans to showcase a series of captivating occasions that commemorate the most significant happenings in Formula 1.

On Monday, the Ferrari Formula One team used Twitter, now known as X, to congratulate Marina Bay Sands on becoming an official partner. According to the press release, Ferrari Team Principal and General Manager Frederic Vasseur will also participate in the activities as part of the new agreement.

The three towers of the hotel and the underbelly of Marina Bay Sands' SkyPark will be lit in the racing red of Ferrari for guests of the resort. Additionally, a replica of the 2019 SF90 that was once driven by Sebastian Vettel will be displayed in the hotel lobby of Tower 1.

Sands Looks to Embrace New Market

Sands' no longer has any involvement in Nevada casinos, which means that it won't reap any advantages from the introduction of F1 to southern Nevada with the Las Vegas Grand Prix in November. However, the agreement with Ferrari creates an opportunity for the company to thrive and compete on a global scale within the world of sports.

The global appeal of F1 is steadily on the rise, attributing a significant portion of its newfound popularity to the 2019 Netflix show, Formula 1: Drive to Survive. While NASCAR remains the dominant force in American motorsports, it is undeniable that F1 has enjoyed an enduring reign in all other corners of the globe.

Last year, the number of people attending F1 races witnessed a substantial increase, reaching 5.7 million, marking a remarkable surge of 36% compared to 2019. Additionally, the eminent single-seater racing championship successfully forged a highly profitable fresh media agreement with both ESPN and Fox Sports, securing its position as the foremost global platform for open-wheel racing.

In the upcoming 2023 F1 Global Championship, there are a total of 23 thrilling races, yet an intriguing twist awaits, as only four of these intense showdowns take place at night. Among those four races, Singapore and Las Vegas provide the stage for two of the competitions. The Singapore Formula 1 race weekend runs from September 15-17 on the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
