LeoVegas Welcomes Carl Brincat as New Regulatory Director
The LeoVegas Group, the global igaming operator, has announced the imminent appointment of Carl Brincat, who joins from the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) to the new role of Director of Policy and Regulatory Affairs.

Brincat served as CEO at the MGA, a position he held for three years having worked his way up from legal advisor since joining the organization in 2014. He announced he would be leaving the regulator earlier this year when he indicated he would not be extending his contract.
The leadership team at LeoVegas said they are delighted to be welcoming a candidate with the wealth of industry knowledge and experience that Brincat has and feel he will play a key role in the business achieving its long-term strategies.

Appointment Shows Regulatory Challenges Facing LeoVegas
The LeoVegas Group is pursuing a strategy of rapid expansion throughout many varied jurisdictions worldwide, and the appointment of Brincat is an acknowledgment that the company needs a division that specializes in legislative guidelines and compliance for its business interests globally.
Brincat will be based in Sliema in Malta and is due to start his new role in August, where he will report directly to Abby Cosgrave, the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer at the Group. He will be tasked with overseeing the relationships with regulators and authorities in potential new markets. This is to ensure the group's policy adheres to the latest compliance guidelines set by gaming authorities in a variety of jurisdictions.
