Las Vegas Room Rates for Formula 1 Race Falling
Hotel operators in Las Vegas may have been too excited about the city hosting Formula 1's upcoming Las Vegas Grand Prix. Less than two months ahead of the races, there are still plenty of hotel rooms available and the properties are having to drop their prices.
Las Vegas Hotels Race for Guests
Hotel room rates for the highly anticipated Las Vegas Grand Prix weekend have experienced a substantial decrease of nearly 60%. Evidently, these rates have plunged to levels unseen since their initial publication a year ago.

Nonetheless, this doesn't necessarily mean that there's a failure to meet expectations for this event. The allure of the program remains strong, according to insiders.
As the race weekend was announced in November 2022, several Las Vegas hotels unveiled their reservation calendars. They presented astronomical prices that rivaled those surrounding any previous event in the city.
While the rates are still elevated, noteworthy decreases have been observed. As the influx of bookings diminishes, automatic financial management systems prompt recommendations for a more affordable accommodation option.
When it comes to choosing hotel rooms for a start-up event, the decision-making process is much more intricate compared to a well-established event, such as New Year's Eve or the National Finals Rodeo. Limited benchmarking data often leads to excessive optimism regarding the availability of favorable room rates for a first-time event.
First Vegas F1 Race on the Horizon
This November 16 to 18, the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix is expected to captivate the attention of a crowd of around 105,000 devoted fans. The event will witness the construction of multiple F1 control and hospitality zones at diverse spots encircling the extensive 3.8-mile track.
Stretching along the intersections of Las Vegas Boulevard, Koval Lane and Sands and Harmon avenues, F1 officials and Las Vegas leaders hope this route promises an unforgettable racing experience. However, at the same time, some hotels have been arbitrarily blocking off streets in front of their properties, preparing to charge race fans just to stand there.
The tournament tickets are yet to be sold; however, when inspecting the ticket sales section on the Ticketmaster website, it becomes evident that there are only a few grandstand tickets remaining. Hospitality and suite options are still up for grabs, but they lack the convenience of checking availability and selecting specific seats like the grandstand area does.
