Kansas Residents Can Now Buy Lottery Tickets Online
The Kansas Lottery has unveiled its iLottery platform, enabling residents to participate in select draw games and eInstant games online.

The Kansas Lottery first announced its plans to go digital last August. With the launch of the online ticketing platform, Kansans can now purchase tickets for some of the state's most beloved lottery draw games via their mobile or desktop devices. These include Mega Millions, Powerball, and a range of eInstant virtual games from Pollard Banknote.
Two of the eInstant games available on the platform are specifically tailored for Kansas. Namely 'Jayhawk Riches' and 'Wildcat Riches’, the iconic titles are based on the storied rivalry between Kansas State University and the University of Kansas. They also draw inspiration from the Lottery's popular $5 'Rivalry Riches' scratch-off ticket, which offers a top prize of $50,000.
Despite the inherent complexity of launching an iLottery program, the planning and implementation process went very smoothly, owing to the strength and flexibility of Catalyst and the comprehensive support from the team at Pollard Banknote. We really appreciate their leadership and their partnership.
Following the successful rollout of online sales, the Lottery plans to expand its digital draw game portfolio and will release new eInstant games every two weeks.
To buy tickets, players will have to register for an account on the Lottery's platform, which features age and identity verification, an online wallet for transactions, and responsible gaming tools.
The Kansas Lottery Commission projects that online sales of instant and draw games through the Lottery's website and mobile app could generate annual revenues of $10 million to $20 million.
We're thrilled with how our team at the Kansas Lottery and Pollard Banknote have worked together to achieve this historic milestone. Pollard Banknote walked with us every step of the way, providing effective guidance at every decision point. Giving our players the ability to purchase our products in this fashion is something they have wanted for a very long time. We are excited to be able to provide new games and purchasing options, safely and securely, for players in the state.
