Kalshi Introduces Responsible Gambling Hub for Safer Trading

The company works primarily in the sports-related markets, and it has faced continued regulatory and public scrutiny. Kalshi CEO Tarek Mansour published details of the initiative on X and announced the launch of a new Customer Protection Hub. The hub will feature familiar sportsbook safeguards, such as deposit limits, trading pauses, and voluntary opt-out options. These tools, Mansour said, are intended to support Kalshi’s “internal market surveillance team and regulation systems to improve our market integrity.”
No important financial innovation has ever been created without critics. That said, criticism and doubts play a crucial role in this process: they help stress test new systems and often constructively encourage them to get better. From day one at Kalshi, we have been conscious of our position in building prediction markets and we carry the responsibility of fostering and preserving trust in them … We hope that our Hub sets a new standard of customer protection for the industry and encourages others to follow suit.
Sports Contracts Under Regulatory Scrutiny
Kalshi’s contracts related to sporting events have drawn attention from regulatory bodies such as the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB), as well as major stakeholders like Major League Baseball (MLB).
In a letter earlier this month the MLB spoke of the similarity between sports event contracts and traditional sports betting markets and the resulting need to “replicate the integrity and consumer protections that exist at the state level.”
Though its expansion into sports markets has sparked the most conversation recently, Kalshi pointed out that the new Customer Protection Hub will apply across all areas of its trading platform, not just sports.

In addition to the protection hub, Kalshi announced a new partnership with Integrity Compliance 360 (IC360) to improve its sports-related monitoring efforts.
According to Mansour, IC360’s data capabilities “will enhance our Customer Protection Hub’s ability to prevent bad actors and report them to the leagues and relevant regulatory bodies.”
Kalshi plans to integrate IC360’s integrity monitoring tools and ProhiBet platform as part of its expanded compliance measures. ProhiBet offers a secure, encrypted system for tracking individuals barred from participating in prediction markets or sports betting, allowing real-time detection and enforcement.
IC360 co-CEO Scott Sadin said that the company seeks to improve sport integrity “through innovative technology-driven solutions” and that its partnership with Kalshi will help to create a “compliant, transparent & ethical prediction market ecosystem.”
