Joseph Hasson Gets Permanent Nod as Mohegan COO
Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment has decided to continue with Joseph Hasson as its permanent Chief Operating Officer.
Hasson will also maintain his role as General Manager of Mohegan Casino at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
LISTEN TO THIS ARTICLE:Hasson has been acting as the interim COO of the company since April. He succeeded Jody Madigan, who had been in the role since August 2021. Although Madigan officially resigned on August 1, he took a leave of absence in the intervening period, and Hasson was appointed to fill the void until a permanent replacement was found.
With the latest development, Hasson will continue leading Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment operations, but now on a permanent basis. His responsibilities include overseeing the development and execution of strategic business plans across all Mohegan properties in the US, Canada, and Asia.
Additionally, he will maintain his role as General Manager of Mohegan Casino at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas and continue to report to Ray Pineault, Mohegan’s President and CEO.
Before joining Mohegan, Hasson was the Chief Operating Officer at Station Casinos LLC and Red Rock Resorts, Inc.

Mohegan’s portfolio includes four properties in the United States, including its flagship venue, Mohegan Sun, in Connecticut, Mohegan Pennsylvania, and its establishments in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. Additionally, Mohegan operates two casinos in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.
The company also has an iGaming division, Mohegan Digital, which is present in several jurisdictions, including Connecticut, New Jersey, Ontario and, most recently, Pennsylvania.
