Hip-hop mogul Jay-Z is set to revive his legendary 40/40 Club in a new location in New York City with new features, including live sports betting.

According to reports, the entrepreneur and rapper is highly involved in the reopening of the historic club. It originally launched in 2003 but closed its doors in August 2023 after a 20-year run.

It's always been the plan to open a new spot. Finding the right location that makes sense to the brand is key, and that takes some time. We've narrowed it down to our last few choices and now we're in the negotiation phase.Hopefully by the end of this year we'll have a lease signed and we can break ground. The idea is that we'll have a club in 2025. Jay definitely wants to keep it as part of his legacy.

According to Robinson, the new 40/40 Club will offer a renewed era of entertainment that uniquely combines sports, music, and culture. Through a partnership with Fanatics Sportsbook, patrons will also be able to watch live sports and place bets in real-time.

40/40 Club Experience at Fanatics Fest

To celebrate the 40/40 Club's revival, Jay-Z partnered with Fanatics founder and CEO Michael Rubin to present an exclusive 40/40 Club experience at Fanatics Fest NYC, held from August 16 to 18 at the Javits Center.

The event welcomed several notable celebrities, including Tom Brady, Carmelo Anthony, Travis Scott, and Quavo. Various athletes, such as Julius Erving and Kareem-Abdul Jabbar, and VIP customers of Fanatics Sportsbook, were also present.

Guests were treated to a nostalgic glimpse into the 40/40 Club's rich history, with framed jerseys adorning the walls and a curated selection of refreshments inspired by the club's iconic original menu.
