Inspired Granted NHL License to Launch Virtual Hockey Game

Inspired Entertainment, the virtual games developer, has announced it has secured a licensing agreement with the National Hockey League (NHL) in North America, giving it the rights to create Virtual Sports games that integrate the competition NHL logos, team names, and jerseys.

As part of the development process Inspired will use its advanced motion capture technology to produce realistic hockey gameplay that it believes will appeal to NHL fans globally. Inspired says it hopes to complete the development of its NHL game within the next few months and hopes to debut its NHL virtual sports game during Q4 of 2024.

Virtual Sports is the flagship offering from Inspired, and the award-winning games on this platform are available in 35 countries through more than 100 websites and 40,000 retail channels. Inspired boast this deal has bolstered its portfolio and gives players a wider variety of games.

Additionally gaining approval for a license through the NHL means the developer has now secured agreements with all the top sports in the North American market.
