IC360, the compliance for sports and gaming company, has announced a partnership with DeShawn Hanika, the college football player, to launch an educational program designed to teach athletes about sporting integrity and the potential risks of sports betting.
DeShawn Hanika Joins IC360 in the Gambling Awareness and Sports Integrity Program
LISTEN TO THIS ARTICLE:The Gambling Awareness and Sports Integrity Program has been designed by the compliance consultants to educate members of sporting organizations with young athletes on the problems that can arise through sports betting.
Hanika is the college player who was suspended for all of last season for gambling violations while playing for Iowa State as a Tight End in 2023. He is seen as an ideal individual to promote these services because he will be able to relate to the target audience and he has firsthand experience of the risks of an athlete getting involved with sports betting.
This partnership with IC360 is a chance to turn my experience into a valuable lesson for others, Some student-athletes might believe that betting on separate sports poses no risk, but my wake-up call can be a crucial educational moment to help others understand what’s at stake and prevent similar pitfalls. I appreciate IC360 for giving me the platform to spread my message and contribute to positive change.

Details of the IC360 Education Program
The course will be delivered by the IC360 Education Team and will be held at the relevant sports organization. It will feature video content, lectures, and modules that help to raise gambling awareness and promote a safe environment for young athletes.
Hanika will take part in some speaking engagements during this integrity program where he will be able to draw on his own personal experiences to inform young athletes and staff at sporting organizations on the promotion of sporting integrity and problem gambling.
