Fraudsters Target Players with Fake Beau Rivage Gambling Ads
Fraudulent advertisements claiming that Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi, is offering online gambling have appeared on social media platforms.

Scams Becoming More Common
Mary Cracchiolo, the head of regional public relations for Beau Rivage, has confirmed that these promotions are entirely fabricated and have no connection to the casino. She added that the casino’s legal team is actively investigating the source of the fraudulent posts. Jay McDaniel, the director of the Mississippi Gaming Commission, said that these scams are becoming more common and normally run by international groups. He added that tracking down and holding these individuals accountable is extremely difficult, as they are usually based abroad and hard to find.
Online gambling is not permitted in Mississippi, and any claims to the contrary are false. The state does allow approved sports betting apps to operate within casinos. Beau Rivage partners with the BetMGM app, which lets guests place wagers via their smartphones or computers while on the casino premises. However, the app does not function outside the casino’s location.
