Flutter Appoints UK & Ireland CEO as the Company Restructures
Flutter Entertainment, the gaming and sports betting giant, has announced the appointment of Kevin Harrington to the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO ) of its UK & Ireland (UKI) division. This comes as the Group restructures into two parts, consisting of its US and other International operations.

LISTEN TO THIS ARTICLE:This is a promotion for Harrington who has spent more than a decade at the group and moves from his latest role as CEO of Pokerstars, a position he has held since 2023. He takes over the reins from Ian Brown and senior leadership at Flutter were keen to thank Brown for the strong performance of the gaming operator since he joined in 2022. Brown expressed pride in his achievements at the helm of the Flutter Group in the UK and said that Harrington had displayed the characteristics to take over the running of the Flutter Group since he joined in 2012.
Ian’s time at Flutter has been enormously successful. He has transformed the UK & Ireland business on almost every metric and he will be a hard act to follow. Kevin’s promotion is very well-deserved and the business will be in safe hands as we embark on the next phase of our growth plan.

Leadership Focus on Maintaining Flutter’s Market Dominance
In the statement, Harrington said he has been tasked with leading the gaming operator in its new structure and maintaining the entertainment company’s leadership position in the gaming industry.
Flutter has outlined its plan for growth in the future, which involves using cutting edge innovation to continue its expansion strategy. One of the operators key aims is to focus on responsible gambling which the group feel will lead to sustainable growth.
In September, Flutter continued its growth strategy when it agreed to purchase Snaitech the Italian gaming operator, from Playtech.
