FanDuel Sportsbook Now Available in Puerto Rico
Leading North American online gaming company FanDuel has gone live with its sportsbook in Puerto Rico.
LISTEN TO THIS ARTICLE:On Thursday, the company announced that its sportsbook can now be accessed online and via mobile in Puerto Rico. This development makes it the 24th jurisdiction where FanDuel sportsbook is legally available.
The launch was made possible via FanDuel’s partnership with Cage Puerto Rico II (Cage Sports) in the unincorporated US territory. As part of the agreement, FanDuel will also launch a new retail sportsbook at the site of Cage Sports’ current office in San Juan.
Cage Sports was established in 2004 by Robert Johnson and Robert Washington with the goal of introducing video gaming terminals, gaming machines, and other gaming solutions to Latin America and the Caribbean.
With this development, individuals aged 18 and older in Puerto Rico can now bet with FanDuel online or in person at the San Juan retail location.
In its announcement, FanDuel revealed that Puerto Rico customers will have unrestricted access to bet on various professional and collegiate sports, including NFL, NBA, and college football. As a welcome offer, the sportsbook is also awarding new customers $200 in bonus bets after they make their first wager of at least $5.

Puerto Rico legalized sports betting in 2019, but the market remained dormant until its launch in early 2022, with online sports betting following suit in 2023.
While the jurisdiction has six licensed online sports betting operators, only two actively took bets prior to FanDuel’s launch. These include BetMGM partnered with Casino del Mar at La Concha Resort, and Caesars, in collaboration with Casino Metro.
While Draftkings has also secured market access in the territory, it is yet to start accepting online bets on the island.
The limited competition in Puerto Rico provides FanDuel with a chance to establish a strong foothold in the market. The company can leverage its renowned brand and has started utilizing competitive offerings like its sign-up bonus to gain traction among local bettors.
