Part of the Flutter group, FanDuel will rebrand the regional Bally sports channels to the FanDuel Sports Network. The network will consist of 16 regional sports channels and the FanDuel brand will be seen on platforms in areas including FanDuel Sports Network Florida, Detroit, Kansas City, and Indiana.

Under the terms of the agreement, the gaming operator can syndicate its sports offering to other operators through its FanDuel TV platform. The financial terms of the partnership were not made public.

Collaborating with FanDuel provides a tremendous pathway for Diamond to elevate the fan experience and deepen the incremental value we provide for our team, league and distribution partners. In the meantime, having finalized agreements with the NBA, NHL and our key distributors, we remain focused on moving our business forward and driving value for our team partners and our stakeholders.

FanDuel to Raise Brand Awareness with Sports Fans

Senior leadership at FanDuel says the deal gives the gaming operator the opportunity to pursue a long-term strategy of raising its brand awareness. The deal will see a surge in the customer base of regional fans throughout North America who can watch local teams of major sports on the FanDuel Sports platform.

The deal has come about following financial difficulties suffered by the Diamond Sports Group which filed for bankruptcy protection last year. However, the broadcaster has ongoing partnerships with major sports competitions in North America including the NBA, NHL, and MLB. This collaboration secures the financial future of the networks and allows for the planned future growth of the digital platform.

Partnering with Diamond provides us an opportunity to put the FanDuel brand at the intersection of the nation's largest group of regional sports networks. A large cohort of FanDuel customers are devoted RSN viewers and this agreement allows us to further cement the FanDuel brand with sports fans and provides a unique vehicle to reward our users.
