Explore the Ontario Gambling Market with Slotegrator
Ontario’s gaming market is one of the most recent to have opened up to private operators and Slotegrator, a leading iGaming technology provider, has been delving into the opportunities the market presents.
In order to help operators interested in entering the Canadian market, Slotegrator has released a video that can be found at the Slotegrator Academy. The Academy is home to a vast amount of information about gambling markets, the industry, and how to operate a casino.
Ontario opened the market to online sports betting platforms and casinos in April 2022. Instead of using a traditional licensing process, the Alcohol and Gambling Commission of Ontario (AGCO) has developed a system that is designed to both regulate the industry while keeping it open and competitive. The province is now expecting a net income of $75 million by 2025.
It is possible for both B2C and B2B companies to register with the AGCO. However, they must first have their products certified by an independent laboratory, provide various documentation, pay the fees, and sign an agreement with iGaming Ontario.
Acquiring an iGaming license is never straightforward and Slotegrator aims to make it as simple as possible with the numerous resources the company has made available. The company has published an extensive guide to the Canadian gambling market and is also able to advice on applying for licenses in jurisdictions such as the UK, Malta, Curacao, and so on.
