Boomerang Studios has just released its first slot to use the infinity reels mechanic, Crystal Wolf Infinity Reels. This was made possible thanks to the licensing of the Infinity Reels mechanic by Reel Play to Relax Gaming. Boomerang is a partner of Relax, and as such, it also has access to the technology.
Like other games that use the mechanic, the game starts with a 3x3 grid, and each winning spin adds another reel. The action takes place in the dead of night under a full moon, and the reels are populated with crystal depictions of various animals such as deer, eagles, owls, and wolves, as well as a paw print bonus symbol.
Each spin of the reels starts with a x1 multiplier by default. However, each paw symbol that lands increases the payout multiplier by +1 and it is not reset until a winning combination fails to land, which means that some huge payouts are possible.
Landing three of the moon scatter symbols triggers the slot’s main bonus. To help players trigger the game, if they land two scatters, then they are granted a respin with an extra reel. It is a classic Hold & Win game. Players begin with three free spins on a grid made up of 15 individual positions. If additional moon symbols land, then they are locked in place and award an extra spin. The game continues until there are no more spins or until each position is filled with a moon. Each moon then awards a prize of between 1x and 50x the total bet.
