Evolution Georgia with Operational Disruptions Due to Strike Action
Evolution, the live dealer casino operator, has seen its operations in Georgia disrupted due to an ongoing dispute with some of its employees.

LISTEN TO THIS ARTICLE:The strike action has intensified in the last week, which has led to increased tensions between both parties. The dispute started in July after negotiations failed, following the union representing workers at Evolution in Georgia complaining of poor working conditions and pay for the gaming operators' employees.
When the dispute started management at Evolution said they thought only 500 of its total 8,000 employees in Georgia would join the strike action. Plus, they said that with more than 20 studios worldwide, they did not think that disruption to one of these would have a major impact on their operations globally.
At the start of this month, the union decided to ramp up its industrial action and set about causing major disruption to the live dealer operations in the country. They did this by blocking entrances to the Evolution live dealer studio in Georgia, which caused a serious impact on the gaming company’s services.

Evolution Georgia Threatens to Lay Off Workers
Following the escalation of the strikes by workers last week, senior leadership at Evolution Georgia has responded by stating the company will have no option but to lay off some of its workers in Georgia and possibly withdraw from the region unless the strikes stop.
This has led to an equally combative stance from the union who claim they do not believe the operator will leave a profitable jurisdiction. Additionally, they say the operator has made sufficient profit to address the issues they raise in the dispute.
Evolution only communicates with us through threats and finger-waving posts. Neither the director nor anyone else is above the law. These are absurd lies and intimidation.
As it stands neither side seems prepared to make any compromises to end the dispute, and both parties remain in an entrenched position.
Evolution continues to be one of the leading global casino games providers and recently acquired Galaxy Gaming.
