Esports Entertainment Full Offers Now Available in New Jersey
Esports and online gambling operator Esports Entertainment (NASDAQ: GMBL) has officially launched its betting platform VIE.gg in New Jersey after completing the ‘soft play’ phase required by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.
By launching fully in the state, Esports Entertainment will be able to offer its wide range of authorized professional esports events, like Overwatch, Call of Duty, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, to bettors in New Jersey.
Esports Entertainment is the first online operator to receive a full esports betting license in the state by the Division of Gaming Enforcement. The full-stack esports and online gambling company were launched in 2008. Headquartered in Malta, it has other subsidiaries like gga circuit LLC, Helix eSports LLC, XSeries LTD, and more.
Last month, the leading esports operator appointed Damian Mathews as chief financial officer. He replaced Dan Marks as CFO and assumed his new position on April 2.
We are pleased with the completion of the soft play period, which is a testament to all the hard work by our team over the past year. As the first licensed esports-focused betting site in North America, we’re thrilled to fully launch the VIE.gg platform in New Jersey, one of the largest and most promising jurisdictions for sports wagering in the country.
In January, Esports Entertainment Group renewed its agreement with Take-Two, NBA 2K game provider for the NBA 2K League.
