Entain Announces Departure of Chief Governance Officer Robert Hoskin
Entain, a prominent gaming, betting, and entertainment company, has announced the departure of its Chief Governance Officer, Robert Hoskin, after his nearly two-decade tenure with the organization. Hoskin, who joined Entain in 2005, has held various roles within the company, including Company Secretary and Group Director of Legal, Regulatory, and Secretariat. He was promoted to the position of Chief Governance Officer in 2020 and became a member of the company's board a year later.
Hoskin will continue serving as a board member until June 30 and will remain as Chief Governance Officer until August 31. The company has appointed Simon Zinger, Entain's Acting General Counsel, to take on Hoskin's responsibilities, as announced by the company.
I am truly honored to have had the opportunity of playing a part in that extraordinary journey, and wish everyone at Entain all the best for the future.
These leadership changes align with Entain's strategic decision to restructure its Regulatory Affairs responsibilities. The company aims to prioritize compliance and focus exclusively on regulated gambling markets, placing compliance at the forefront of its business operations.
Expressing his admiration for Entain's remarkable transformation, Hoskin acknowledged the company's strong credentials as a responsible operator and its commitment to sustainability. He commended the experienced leadership team driving Entain's success.
Jette Nygaard-Andersen, Entain's Chief Executive Officer, also extended her good wishes to Hoskin, describing him as supportive, welcoming, and helpful during her own introduction to the company in 2019.
He has played an instrumental role in making Entain the success story that it is today, and I would like to express my sincere thanks to him for everything that he has done for me personally and the Group more widely.
Barry Gibson, Chair of Entain, expressed gratitude for Hoskin's service and highlighted his integral role in implementing the company's sustainability plans.
Hoskin's departure follows recent changes to Entain's board, which introduced two new committees: the People & Governance Committee and the Sustainability & Compliance Committee. These changes aim to diversify the company's board and reinforce its commitment to sustainable practices and compliance with regulatory standards.
As Entain moves forward with its revised leadership structure and renewed focus on compliance and sustainability, it aims to strengthen its position as a leading industry operator. The company remains dedicated to providing an exceptional and responsible gambling experience while adhering to the highest standards of governance and regulatory compliance.
The departure of Robert Hoskin signifies the beginning of a new chapter for Entain. With its dynamic leadership team and an unwavering commitment to sustainability and compliance, the company is poised to thrive in the ever-evolving gaming and entertainment industry.
