DraftKings to Open Second Largest US Office in Las Vegas
One of the biggest online sportsbooks in the United States, DraftKings (NASDAQ: DKNG) is planning to expand its Las Vegas presence by opening a new office in early 2022 at the UnCommons in southwest Las Vegas.
DraftKings’ new state-of-the-art hub is expected to cover over 90,000 square-foot space and be serviced by more than 1000 workers. Going by these figures, the new office at UnCommons 40-acre workplace will be DraftKings’ second biggest office in the United States and will model its Boston headquarters.
Our new office space and Las Vegas expansion further exemplifies DraftKings’ investment in its employees and the future of the company, as well as the local community. Our goal is to create another world-class workplace environment that will foster DraftKings’ innovation, further bolster our local presence, and deepen community involvement. With these lofty aspirations, we were thrilled to discover that UnCommons mirrors these high standards.
Designed by IA Interior Architects, the office will include a custom casino pit, 130 dedicated sports trading desks surrounded by full multimedia walls, a high-tech 500-square-foot putting green, a 7,500 square-foot cafeteria and event space, a prayer suite, a custom casino training pit, private, and public outdoor spaces, and mothers’ rooms. It will also feature sites where workers can have their manicures, pedicures, and haircuts done.
The Boston-based fantasy sports contest provider opened its first Las Vegas office at the Town Square in January 2020. Since then, DraftKings has expanded its Las Vegas footprints by over 400% by signing a multi-year agreement to be a primary sponsor of UNLV’s Center for Gaming Innovation inside the university’s International Gaming Institute in the past year. In March 2021, the company also announced its acquisition of VSiN, a multi-platform sports betting broadcasting company in Las Vegas, and the renowned Golden Nugget Online Gaming business takeover.
DraftKings was founded in 2012 and has since made a name as one of the largest sportsbooks in the United States, offering its sports betting app and physical retail sports betting services in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Indiana, New Hampshire, and West Virginia, New York, Iowa, and Mississippi.
