Four new appointments revealed at Crown Resorts.
The new senior executive appointments include a mix of internal promotions and external hires, with the changes set to take place over the next three months.
As noted, David Tsai, formerly the CEO of Crown Perth, has been promoted to president and group COO. In this role, Tsai will be responsible for enhancing operational effectiveness at the company, reporting directly to Crown CEO Ciarán Carruthers. During the search for a permanent replacement, Brian Pereira, currently the CFO of Crown Perth, will serve as interim CEO.
Crown has also appointed Nicole Pelchen as the new CTO, effective from August 12. Pelchen brings over 25 years of experience, having served as CTO for MUFG Pension & Market Services and previously worked with ANZ Bank and IBM.
New Chief Government Relations Officer
Another addition is Gemma Allman, who will take on the role of chief government relations officer in October. Allman joins Crown after a 16-year tenure at ExxonMobil, where she most recently held the position of general public and government affairs manager.
Louise Tebbutt has been named chief people and culture officer. Tebbutt comes to Crown after nearly six years as chief people officer at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, with prior experience at the Australian department store group Myer.
Stanford Le will step in as the new CEO of Crown Sydney, succeeding Mark McWhinnie, who is retiring. Le, currently CEO and president of Snoqualmie Casino, brings nearly two decades of industry experience from his time at Caesars Entertainment, Wynn Resorts, and Sands China. McWhinnie will remain with Crown until Le’s arrival in October.
