Close to 20 Million Grand National Bets Placed through OpenBet
OpenBet, the sports betting platform provider, has announced truly impressive figures resulting from the three-day Aintree festival over the weekend. The platform processed 48 million bets during the event, and there was an 8% increase in the number of bets placed on the Grand National from last year.
Corach Ranbler, ridden by Derek Fox, won the race, and OpenBet was able to provide 100% uptime while processing up to 85,000 bets per minute across all the operators using its platform. The figures are truly impressive.
Close to 20 million bets were placed on the Grand National and the average bet for singles on the Win and Each Way markets was £5.27. Just 5% of bets were on the winner while the three most backed horses were ‘Aint That A Shame’, ‘Any Second Now’, and ‘The Big Dog’.
A number of leading operators, such as Entain and Flutter Entertainment, use OpenBet’s platform, and its proven reliability will only strengthen the relationship between the operators and developers.
