Caesars Virginia Marks Official Opening with Festive Celebration
Tuesday, 17 December, marked the grand opening of Caesars, Virginia. The highly anticipated resort welcomed its first guests with a spectacular event led by top executives, local officials, and community members.

Caesars Entertainment CEO Tom Reeg, President & COO Anthony Carano, Regional President Barron Fuller, Caesars Virginia General Manager Chris Albrecht, and Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians Chief Michell Hicks were all present. Other prominent attendees included Danville Mayor Alonzo Jones, Virginia Lottery Executive Director Khalid Jones, Senator Tammy Mulchi, and Deputy Secretary of Commerce and Trade Maggie Beal, alongside hundreds of enthusiastic community members.

Opening Festivities Full of Energy
The celebration began with a car parade through the streets of Danville, featuring race cars and luxury vehicles from Virginia International Raceway, Kaizen Autosport, and Foreign Cars Italia. Five-time NBA Champion Dennis Rodman, renowned as the league’s top rebounding forward, hosted the parade as master of ceremonies. Rodman, along with Caesar, Cleopatra, and Mayor Jones, made their way to the new resort for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Once the ribbon was cut, guests could enter the 587,000-square-foot resort. Highlights included the state-of-the-art Caesars Sportsbook, where Dennis Rodman placed the inaugural ceremonial bet, a $100 five-leg parlay on the next games for all five of his former NBA teams. The day’s excitement concluded with a dazzling fireworks and drone display by Grucci.

Caesars Virginia offers 90,000 square feet of gaming space featuring nearly 1,500 of the latest slot machines, 79 live-action table games, 48 electronic table games, a poker room for WSOP, and a state-of-the-art Caesars Sportsbook.
The resort also includes a 320-room luxury hotel, 50,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, which doubles as a 2,500-seat live entertainment venue, a full-service spa, a pool, and diverse dining options. Among the culinary highlights are Ramsay’s Kitchen by chef Gordon Ramsay and local options such as Dan Dan Noodle and Three Stacks, alongside the 500 Block Food Hall created by local developer Rick Barker and restaurateur Steve Parry.
