Caesars Palace to Get a New Look
There is no doubt that Caesars Palace (NASDAQ: CZR) in Las Vegas is one of the world’s top gambling resorts. This luxury casino and hotel complex opened in the 1960s and has retained its reputation as a classy casino destination, but what are the massive renovations getting carried out now?
The renovation work is starting in July and should be completed by the end of the year, with New Year’s Eve given as a target date for the casino to show off its new look.
Most of the focus appears to be on the main entrance. Designs shown by Caesars Palace bosses suggest that it will now feature a high domed ceiling together with an impressively tall 15-foot statue of Augustus Caesar himself.
There is also talk of two of the gaming areas being re-designed and a new lobby bar being added. However, it is the complete rebuilding of the main entrance that has caught the eye of casino fans, as the imposing entrance is set to become even more impressive.
The new entrance will be flanked by gaming pits on either side, using the latest technology to make them as state of the art as possible. The casino will remain open during the work, with details published on their site of how clients can access the resort during this period.
While no exact figure has been mentioned in terms of the cost of the work, it is clear that this is a hugely expensive project that is going to run into millions of dollars.
Caesars Palace brought a sense of grandeur to the Las Vegas Strip when it was built in 1966, and we’re proud to continue that legacy with a full reimagining of our main entrance.
