Betsson Announces Record Revenue for Second Quarter of 2023
The Betsson Group, the global gaming operator, has announced strong results for the second quarter of 2023 in a trading update.
Betsson estimates the revenues for second quarter of this year will be between €235.5–237.5 million which is the highest for any quarter in the company’s history. This is also reflected in other trading measurements in Q2 for Betsson, with the group showing a record operating profit (EBIT) in the region of €53.5–55.0 million.
Betsson is the parent company of many leading online gaming brands, including betsafe, casinoeuro, europebet, and the newly acquired betFIRST.
The improved results were achieved in both the sports betting and live casino sectors for the operator. The Group also included its B2B activities which it forecasts at €64.0–65.5 million for the second quarter, and states make up 27% of the group’s total revenues.
Group Revenue by Region
The trading update from the Betsson Group highlighted that the revenue in the second period of this year has increased for all jurisdictions the group operates in.
The company’s revenue growth in Q2 2023 in the Nordics and Latin America is over 20% for both these territories.
While Betsson reported that the highest revenue increase is in Central & Eastern Europe and Central Asia which enjoyed a considerable rise of 43% in the quarter.
