Betsson and Peru’s Liga 1 Extend Deal by Four Years
Online gambling company Betsson has announced an extension of its sponsorship agreement with Peru’s top professional football division, Liga 1.
Initially signed in 2021, the deal will now extend by four more years. For the duration of the contract, Betsson will remain the title sponsor of the competition, and the division’s corporate identity will continue to be known as Liga 1 Betsson.
Betsson branding will continue to feature on the official league’s visual and digital materials. The two entities will also double down on their activities promoting responsible gambling among fans.
Better sponsorships allow us to continue optimizing the economic value of the first division of professional football, investing in sports infrastructure, preparation of minors, and expanding the scope and visibility of Liga 1.
Latin America represents an integral region for Betsson. In its Q2 financial report last year, the company reported that the jurisdiction gave it its largest market record revenue for the three-month period.
Last November, the betting operator signed ex-footballer Nicole Regnier as its Brand Ambassador for the Colombian market.
This reaffirms our dedication as a company to support national soccer talent and to continue contributing to the development of local football. Additionally, being the proud name sponsor of Liga 1 gives Betsson the opportunity to highlight our passion for the sport and our commitment to fair play, values we share with the FPF.
